The Niobrara Council has a lending library of river-related resources that are available for checkout! Some topics covered include aquatic life, Nebraska Sandhills, noxious weeds, grasses, and ecology.  The materials vary from books, articles, magazines, flashcards and equipment.  If you are interested in our lending library, please contact the Council office  at 402-376-2793.

The 2009 Valentine Day Camps were well attended and the campers (and staff) had a wonderful time learning about the Niobrara River and being outside!  Here are some photos we would like to share!

Text Box: 6/7/8th grade camp-canoe trip!!
Text Box: Check out my skulls I found in the owl pellet!

How long does the photo paper take to develop?

Text Box: Playing in the river was everyone’s favorite!

Special thanks to everyone who helped us out:  Graham Canoe Outfitters, National Park Service, Fort Niobrara National Wildlife Refuge, Ak-Sar-Ben Aquarium, Nebraska Game and Parks, IGA, Shell, Valentine Rural High School, Smith Falls State Park, Tracy Grooms, Kara Buechle, Heather Lutter, Angelina Graham, and Twyla Graham.
